I stumbled across this version of Bobby Womack “Woman’s Got To Have It” a few years ago and loved it. Bobby Womack is a very hard singer to imitate and Calvin Richardson does a great job of reproducing the spirit of the song. I’ll post more Calvin Richardson in the near future so we can see what this Kat is all about. 🙂

Bobby Womack was one of the greatest to ever do it. When he went to glory on June 27, 2014, I was truly a sad camper. Womacks signature songs, That’s The Way I Feel About Cha”, “If You Think You’re Lonely Now”, “Harry Hippie” and “Across 110th Street” were the anthems of my teen age and early adult years. Back then singers were really singers, you could feel the power of their voice in every note and phrase.
Bobby Womack you will always be remembered and will live forever in song.

Dead Presidents is a 1995 American crime film written by Michael Henry Brown, also written, produced and directed by the Hughes brothers (Albert and Allen Hughes), starring Larenz Tate, Keith David, Chris Tucker, Freddy Rodriguez, N’Bushe Wright and Bokeem Woodbine. The film chronicles the life of Anthony Curtis, focusing on his teenage years as a high school graduate and his experiences during the Vietnam War. As he returns to his hometown in The Bronx, Curtis finds himself struggling to support himself and his family, eventually turning to a life of crime.
Dead Presidents is based partly on the real-life experiences of Haywood T. Kirkland, whose true story was detailed in the book Bloods: An Oral History of the Vietnam War by Black Veterans by Wallace Terry. Certain characters from the film are based on real acquaintances of Kirkland, who served time in prison after committing robbery in facepaint.

This is my second time starting my Soul Blog. On my first go round I ran into a lot of artist with talent. MySpace was really big back then for artist. One of the most talented guys I ran into with a super soulful sound was Jonas Rendbo, back then he went by the name Jonas. Below is one his old videos. Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is an upcoming American television series developed by Joss Whedon, in collaboration with Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen, based on the Marvel Comics organization S.H.I.E.L.D. It will be produced by Marvel Television, and will be set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, sharing continuity with the films in that franchise. The series will revolve around the character of Phil Coulson, with Clark Gregg reprising the role. A pilot, written by Joss Whedon, Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen, and directed by Joss Whedon, was given the green-light in late 2012 and filmed in early 2013. The pilot was officially ordered to series on May 10, 2013.[1] It will air Tuesdays at 8:00 pm on ABC.
